ASSALAMMUALAIKUM

Never have I ever thought that I will still be blogging by now, yet here I am, sharing stories that can either make you laugh out loud or fall into a deep sleep. Anyway, in this post, I would like to tell you guys a story about a wondrous, sad yet fantastic journey that my colleagues & I went through on the date stated as the title above. Can you guess where? Okay one clue. We went to a state fill with histories. Now can you guess where we've been? If your answer is Melaka, you are right! :)

So here's the story. I woke up early in the morning, precisely around 5:40am because I didn't want to miss the bus since my friends said that we have to gather at our faculty at 7 o'clock. I woke up early because it took me about 15 minutes to take a shower, 5-10 minutes to pray, and about half an hour to get to my university since I'm staying at home. So I arrived around 6:40am and headed straight to one of the colleges they have there to pick up a friend who is not even showered yet. As time approached 7:00am, we're at our faculty. But guess what? Out of 40-something people who should have arrived by 7 o'clock, only 10-15 people arrived on time. We got on our bus around 7:50am & the bus started moving few minutes past 8 o'clock. Yeay me for waking up early. -.-

Oh and that's not the only "bad luck" I had that day. As I arrived at the faculty, I hit my head on a concrete wall and caused a bump (benjol) at my forehead. Yup. I'm that clumsy. AND! I'm the only person that wore a different type of shirt that day, due to my on mistake. Yup. I'm that typical.

"HAHAHA"
(if you laughed)

That's not nice of you to do so :(

So we reached Melaka around 10:00am. Our first destination was the Rumah Seri Kenangan Cheng, Melaka. It is a place where some selfish, ungrateful (sorry for being rude) people, who sent their parents there to be taken care of probably because they are too busy with their own lives. After listening to some of their stories, I felt really sad and sorry for them. All I can ever think of was, how could these people be so cruel, leaving their parents there. They were the person who raised you. They were the person who taught you how to talk, walk, and eat. They were the people who stood up by you when the world tries to bring you down. What happened? Where is your humanity? Where is your responsibility? Where is your heart? And most importantly, where is your love??

All that my colleagues and I could ever do was made them laugh for just one moment. At least we managed to make them forget about the past for a minute or two. But as we said goodbye, tears were dripping from some of their eyes. Nothing that we could do except to pray that one day, their children will come back into their lives. And so, our journey continues.

Our next and final destination was the city of Melaka it self. As our bus stopped at Menara Taming Sari, the guys and the girls started to split up. Some of us guys walked from Menara Taming Sari and to the Porta de Santiago and saw the beautiful architecture of A Famosa that was built as the Portuguese fort when they were in Malaysia. There were a lot of tourists taking pictures at the fort and the museums, while some rode the infamous tricycle called "beca" ! And I got excited for that. Oh and FYI, A Famosa means "The Famous" in Portuguese. :)
So what happened after that? My colleagues went SHOPPING!!

"Best gila. Untung ah dapat shopping an"

Opps. Sorry for lying. We didn't shopped actually. Well. Some of the girls maybe were. But the guys, nope! We only bought foods and drinks. Does that consider as shopping too? Hmm. Anyway, my friends bought some cookies and I bought a drink. Besides that, I even bought some candies for my tummy too! Since we were in a state fill with old, classic buildings and stuffs, I decided to bought a classic candy for myself! (Scroll down to see the candies)

Tadaaaaa!!!!
I don't know the exact name of this candy, so I tend to call it "White Rabbit". :D
It's a candy that you can eat with it's inner plastic.

BTW, these were some of us in front of a building in Melaka with a fake dinosaur.

And as time approached 5:30pm , our journey ended. We went back on our bus and headed back to our university. I met some new friends. I gained some new experiences. I learned some new values of life. That's what I got on my day trip with my friends. The end.
